Education changed Cortney’s life. Growing up in foster care, higher education opened doors she never thought possible and shaped her commitment to opportunity for all. Today, Cortney serves as a field instructor, training and supporting the next generation of social workers and bringing real-world experience into the classroom. Cortney believes every young person deserves quality public education, strong teachers, and pathways to success whether that’s college, career training, apprenticeships, or learning new skills later in life. She will fight for fully funded schools, expanded mental health resources, and broadband access that helps students and adult learners thrive.
